Community Guidelines

Penpal America is built for adults who want respectful one-to-one friendships, cultural exchange, and meaningful conversation. These guidelines explain what users can and cannot do before reports, moderation, or account blocks become necessary.

Safety Rules

  • Use a real profile photo before chatting, calling, or appearing fully to other members.
  • Be respectful in every message, voice call, video call, and profile interaction.
  • Keep conversations appropriate for an adult friendship community.
  • Report harmful, suspicious, indecent, or abusive behavior instead of escalating it.
  • Respect privacy. Do not share another person's private information, photos, videos, or messages without permission.
  • Only upload profile and gallery content that you own and that follows community standards.

Acceptable Use Policy

  • Meet people for friendship, cultural exchange, conversation, and genuine social connection.
  • Share stories, interests, hobbies, and respectful personal experiences.
  • Use one-to-one text chat, voice calls, and video calls to build trust at a comfortable pace.
  • Block, report, or ignore users who make you uncomfortable.
  • Keep your account secure and use a verified email address that belongs to you.

Not Allowed

These actions can lead to content removal, report review, account restrictions, or a block from messaging and calling.

  • Nudity, sexual content, sexual solicitation, or indecent gallery uploads.
  • Harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, or repeated unwanted contact.
  • Fake profiles, impersonation, scams, spam, or attempts to deceive other users.
  • Hate speech, discrimination, or attacks based on identity, nationality, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or background.
  • Sharing private information such as addresses, financial details, identification documents, or private photos.
  • Using Penpal America to advertise unrelated services, sell accounts, or run automated activity.

Reporting and Moderation

Reporting helps keep Penpal America safe. Moderation decisions are handled carefully, and report outcomes are shared in a general way to protect everyone's privacy.

    A user reports content or behavior from a conversation or profile.

    Penpal America records the report for admin review.

    Gallery uploads may be scanned automatically before becoming public.

    Uncertain or unsafe media can be held for manual admin review.

    Admins may dismiss reports, approve content, reject content, block users, or take other safety action.

    Reporters may receive a general outcome notification after review.
